Artists and Internship recruitment

Chain-FX is expanding and we're looking for some new talents interested in joining us.

 Visual Effects Artist (Matte painter | Compositor | Rotoscoper) :
  Requirements:
   • Those who are applying needs to be versatile and multi-tasking.
   • Capable in extracting blue/green screen or any other color screens.
   • Assist the VFX supervisor on set when required.
   • Able to create and design visual effects from scratch is a plus.
   • Proficient in 2D tracking. Capability in 3D tracking is a plus.
   • Experience in using After Effects and Photoshop. Other softwares are a plus.

 3D Artist (Modeller | Animator | Renderer | Simulator) :
  Requirements:
   • Highly verse in organic and mechanical modelling with detailing in topology.
   • Able to UV and texture photorealistic models.
   • Modelling experience in either Maya or 3D Max. Zbrush is a plus.
   • Animators and Renderers are required to use Maya. Other softwares are a plus.
   • Able to handle motion capture data is a plus.
   • Simulator experience in Maya and 3D Max. Other softwares are a plus.

 2D Artist (Concept | Storyboard) :
  Requirements:
   • Applying participants needs to be well versed in Photoshop and Illustrator.
   • Capable of drawing digitally as well as manually.
   • Must have unlimited creativity and imagination.
   • Experience in basic 3D modelling is a plus.

 Internship/Industrial Training:
  Requirements:
   • Must have at least basic knowledge of visual effects/3D/2D.
   • Minimum of 3 months training.
   • Must be willing to try anything new.
   • All interns must be willing to travel to shooting locations or sets.
   • Experience in photography is a plus.


*Other general requirements:
   • Applicants must be a team player and demonstrate interest in the field of visual effects.
   • Must have the desire to learn and improve within our organization.
   • Reliable transportation and cell phone required.
   • Communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
   • Able to work overtime when necessary.
   • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

How to Apply:
Send in your resume as well as your intent letter indicating what position you would like to apply. Resume are only a formality, what we really want to see is your showreel. Here are a few tips when sending in your reel to us:

     1. The ideal reel for us is usually around 2 to 3 minutes long. Any longer and we'll just skip it.
     2. Put all your best works you've done in the beginning of the reel.
     3. If possible, breakdown the effects that you've done in layers so that we could see the details and work flow of your works.
     4. Only put your best works in your reel, not all the works you've done in your life.
     5. Make sure your reel is in DVD or any other video format that playable in all OS. We prefer Quicktime with mp4 codec.
     6. We'll need to see the wireframes pass for 3D artworks.
     7. No music please and don't concentrate too much on editing.
     8. Please send copies, not originals of your work. We are not responsible for any loss or damage of your submission materials.
